The American Nightmare has thousands of fans worldwide. He was signed to AEW from 2019 to 2022. Rhodes is a three-time TNT Champion and one of the biggest names to have worked for the Tony Khan-led company. Interestingly, in a recent interview with The Wrestling Classic, Brodie Lee Jr. said that he would try his best to retire the second-generation wrestler.

Brodie Lee Jr. is the son of the late great Brodie Lee. The Exalted One was once a WWE star and a former AEW TNT Champion. He died in December 2020 at the age of 41. Nevertheless, his son intends to carry on his legacy. He wants to be a professional wrestler, someday lock horns with Rhodes, and end his career.

Brodie Lee Jr. on his relationship with Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes and Brodie Lee Jr. share a strong bond. In the above interview, the teenager recalled the time when the Undisputed WWE Champion and his wife, Brandi Rhodes, approached him to be godfather to their second daughter. This made Lee Jr. very emotional.

"They pull me in their dining room, and they said, ‘We’re having another baby.’ And I thought that was it. I’m like, ‘Very happy for you guys,’ and I go to get up, and he’s like, ‘Wait, one more thing.’ And I was like, ‘Oh shoot.' Sit back down and he’s like, ‘We were thinking, would you like to be the godfather?" he said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
