"I felt so guilty" - Drew McIntyre spills beans on unfortunate incident with Samoa Joe

WWE star Drew McIntyre recently opened up about a major accident involving AEW's Samoa Joe. The Samoan Submission Machine is considered a respected name in the locker room. The former WWE Champion shared a story on why Joe is admired in the pro wrestling industry.

The Scottish Warrior's success in WWE is a combination of different aspects. One of the standouts was his finisher, Claymore. A running boot aimed at the opponent always lifted the crowd to its feet. However, he sometimes loses control while performing it.

While speaking on No Contest Wrestling, Drew McIntyre revealed that during a Royal Rumble contest, he delivered a stiff Claymore to Samoa Joe. However, instead of lashing out, the latter pulled him aside and told him to take it slow. Drew stated that he had been feeling guilty about the incident since they were very close in real life.

“I caught Samoa Joe real bad one time in a Royal Rumble, and to be fair, he didn’t say anything. He’s like a man’s man. He just pulled me aside and let me know, ‘Hey, brother, you really caught me bad.’ I felt so guilty because Joe’s my boy. He’s my brother. There are a few guys I’ve caught real hard that I didn’t feel so guilty about. But most of the time, people were good. But I felt really bad about the one to Joe," he said. [H/T - WrestlePurist's X]
