A key member of the Death Riders headed into his Continental Classic match on AEW Collision with a lot of momentum. Surprisingly, the star in question, Claudio Castagnoli, suffered a massive loss at the hands of a talent from one of Tony Khan's partner promotions.After stunning fans earlier this week on AEW Dynamite with an upset victory over his teammate and leader, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli walked into the latest edition of Collision to battle Mascara Dorada in his next Blue League bout. The up-and-coming CMLL star had his own block match with The One True King last month on Dynamite: Thanksgiving Eve, but was unable to put away the former world champion.The masked luchador and The Swiss Cyborg squared off this weekend in a marked clash of styles, with Claudio relying on his incredible strength and conditioning to try and ground Dorada. The latter, however, held his own against the recently crowned CMLL World Heavyweight Champion with his impeccable agility and aerial prowess.After a hard-fought contest, it was Dorada who emerged as the shocking winner, as he landed a shooting star press on Castagnoli and covered him for the victory, registering his first three points in the 2025 C2 and handing The King of Swing his first loss in the tourney.Whether this outcome will lead Dorada to challenge the Death Riders' "Emissary of Violence" for his CMLL World Title in the near future remains to be seen.Another Blue League Continental Classic match took place on AEW CollisionDespite teaming up against the Death Riders in the 2025 Men's Blood and Guts match just last month, Roderick Strong was determined not to hold back against Orange Cassidy during their Continental Classic bout this weekend on AEW Collision. In keeping with his promise, The Messiah of The Backbreaker focused his attack on the Freshly Squeezed star's back throughout the match.
