AEW star Chris Jericho might be close to returning to WWE, as believed by many. He has been rumored to switch to the global sports entertainment juggernaut for many months now. Reports claim he could come back to the company for a Hall of Fame induction and a retirement tour. His All Elite contract will end in December 2025, and he has been on a lengthy hiatus since April this year.
The former AEW World Champion has been known for his character reinventions. He has been known to introduce new gimmicks and work the crowd. He has elevated talent in AEW, won the world title, and featured in several high-profile feuds with top stars. A veteran believes Le Champion's experience could be put to good use at WWE.
While speaking on Behind the Turnbuckle, Vince Russo said that he would assign Chris Jericho as an authority figure on both RAW and SmackDown, and even hire him to the creative team.
“Coach, if it were up to me, because Jericho is such a smart individual, he’s been around the block. He’s seen it all. What I would do is, Chris, you are going to come in an authority role over both brands. You are going to be on both of the shows. And not only that, Chris, I’m going to involve you in the creative. I’m going to ask you, if this were a shoot, what would Chris Jericho be booking? That is what I would do," Russo said. [H/T - TJR Wrestling]
