One of the biggest wrestling stars may be mulling over a possible retirement. AEW star Bryan Danielson has been missing from in-ring action for over a year. Bryan has had a documented history of neck issues. His latest injury has kept the American Dragon on the shelf for a while. The 44-year-old star wrestled his last televised match back in October 2024, losing the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley. During a recent interview on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Bryan shed light on his situation. He reiterated that he didn't consider himself retired just yet. The American Dragon pointed out that he was forced to retire once and somehow found his way back to the ring. However, the star admitted that he might never be able to wrestle the same way as he did and would adjust to the situation. "I hate the R word because I was forced to retire before. So I never consider myself fully retired. This is how I think, and this is how a lot of wrestlers think. Well, I think I could do this in this situation, if needed, or called upon, or whatever it is. But effectively for the Bryan Danielson that I used to be, yeah, that guy doesn’t exist anymore."Bryan Danielson is a five-time World Champion in WWEBryan had a stellar career in WWE before moving on to AEW. He is a five-time World Champion, having held the WWE title four times and the World Heavyweight Championship once. The star is also a Grand Slam Champion, having won the United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and Tag Team Championships at some point in his career. While Bryan has been away from the ring, he hasn't disappeared completely from the AEW landscape. He continued to make regular appearances on TV as part of the commentary team on Dynamite.
