Former AEW Women's World Champion, Thunder Rosa, aka La Mera Mera, has been one of the most captivating homegrown talents of All Elite Wrestling. However, she has been absent for an extended period. Amidst her hiatus, Rosa issued a statement that she and her husband, Brian Cervantes, were parting ways in a friendly and respectful manner.

This marked the end of their 14-year marriage, after the duo tied the knot in 2006. While Rosa did not reveal any details, she expressed gratitude to her ex-husband and fans for being understanding and respectful. Days later, the talented wrestler took to her Instagram stories to share a quote hinting that she would never forget who helped her, even when she didn't ask for it.

AEW star Thunder Rosa hinted at an in-ring return

As mentioned, Thunder Rosa has not been seen on AEW television for a while. She last competed in the first-ever Women's Casino Gauntlet match at the All In: Texas pay-per-view, where she might have suffered an injury. Rosa recently revealed that she had begun training for an in-ring return and would make a comeback soon.

“Like I said, I’m training for my comeback. Once again, it’s all good – it’s 80 degrees in Texas. I trained for an hour and started sweating 20 minutes in. Thanks to Melissa, she’s one of my strength and conditioning trainers. She’s freaking awesome," she said.

As Thunder Rosa embarks on the next journey of her life following a disheartening setback, it remains to be seen what the future holds for La Mera Mera.
