A few weeks ago, the 47-year-old posted a video on Instagram where she disclosed that she had been diagnosed with lung cancer. The heartbreaking post received love from many pro-wrestling personalities. A few hours ago, Rebel shared an update on her condition on social media.

On X, the 47-year-old shared that she recently visited the ER, and while the medication for her lung cancer treatment was making her body weak, she's pushing through.

AEW star Rebel was earlier misdiagnosed

In 2024, Rebel (a.k.a. Tanea Brooks) was hospitalized for what was at the time deemed to be cryptococcal pneumonia. However, the treatment did not improve the 47-year-old's condition. It was only after a second opinion that the AEW star found out that she actually had lung cancer.

"As you know, in May of 2024, I was hospitalized for what I thought was cryptococcal pneumonia which is bumble masses on my lungs. I went a year long on antifungals, and after a year of antifungals, I was not getting better....After a year of not getting better, I decided to go to the Mayo Clinic to see if I could get treated by them. They found that it was not cryptococcal pneumonia this whole time and that it is primary pulmonary lymphoma, which is cancer in the lungs," Rebel wrote on Instagram.
