A former AEW star and champion is seemingly interested in returning to WWE to reunite with AJ Lee. The talent in question, Saraya, was one of The Black Widow's foremost rivals in the Stamford-based company.The Unproblematic Icon broke into the pro wrestling industry through her star-making run in WWE. Following on the heels of a majorly successful NXT run, the former Paige made her main roster debut on Monday Night RAW in April 2014, by defeating AJ Lee for her Divas Championship. The two women went on to face each other multiple times over the next several months and even teamed up against The Bella Twins at WrestleMania 31. However, Lee retired from in-ring competition after a trios bout pitting her, Saraya, and Naomi against The Bellas and Natalya on RAW the very next night.Years after her own retirement, Saraya left WWE and crossed over to AEW in 2022, where she made her return to the squared circle. Her brief run in the Tony Khan-led promotion ended earlier this year, in March. The Anti-Diva has been open about her interest in a WWE comeback, and speculation to that end intensified after AJ Lee returned after nearly a decade last month.Recently, The Geek Goddess took to Instagram to share a story about one of her past Divas Championship matches against Saraya, reflecting on their long-standing rivalry and relationship. The former AEW Women's World Champion responded to AJ's post on X/Twitter, echoing Lee's words in the caption and seemingly teasing a future reunion between the two."My fairy god mother, never over 🖤," Saraya wrote.AJ wrestled her first match in over a decade last month at Wrestlepalooza, where she teamed up with her husband CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch of The Vision in a mixed tag bout.Saraya's former AEW stablemate reacted to the star's heartwarming newsSaraya recently took to social media to reveal that one of her dogs, Lobster, had completed a miraculous recovery following a rough six-month-spanning cancer treatment, among other health issues.
