Dustin Rhodes has been absent from AEW television for an extended period. Amid his hiatus, he received an interesting offer from a WWE veteran.

The veteran, who is a former World Heavyweight Champion, is Diamond Dallas Page, aka DDP. The Natural has been out of action ever since he dropped the TNT Title to Kyle Fletcher earlier this year and immediately underwent a double knee replacement surgery.

Dustin Rhodes has been on the road to recovery ever since, though he has admitted it has been tough given the seriousness of the injuries and his age. In a recent health update, Rhodes revealed via his Instagram that he is dealing with less pain and has set a target to be back in the squared circle by March 2026.

DDP saw Rhodes' progress and determination to make it back in the ring by the timeline he set for himself. He applauded The Natural's recovery, offered some insights, and extended an invitation to help him further in getting back to in-ring competition.

"Great move, brother! Work those feet at our foundation. You and Terrell should come down and see us at the beach bro love to work with you. I hope you're stay in the game as long as possible. Consider it an open ended invitation. DDP."

Dustin Rhodes will not return to WWE

Dustin Rhodes came to prominence as Goldust in WWE since debuting the gimmick back in the 1990s. However, he clarified that he won't be returning to the Stamford-based promotion, as he didn't want to be underpaid or underutilized, and would continue with AEW.

"Nope. Why? So I can sit the bench and be miserable? Been under paid and under appreciated there. @AEW make me happy and don't get me wrong, Goldust was one of the funnest characters to play there."

With Rhodes setting a March timeline to return to the ring next year, we extend our wishes for his speedy recovery.
