A controversial AEW star has once again requested Tony Khan not to make him tag with his former teammate at a major upcoming show. The talent in question, Max Caster, used to be one-half of The Acclaimed alongside Anthony Bowens.Although the former AEW World Tag Team Champions officially split up earlier this year, The Pride of Pro-Wrestling and the self-proclaimed "Best Wrestler Alive" were paired up against their will in a number of recent tag bouts. After registering wins against The Swirl and the duo of Big Bill and Bryan Keith, Caster and Bowens were pitted against Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita last month on Fright Night Collision. The duo was unable to put away The Rainmaker and The Alpha after they started bickering and fighting each other.Although The Five-Tool Player and "Platinum" Max want to be done with each other, it was revealed that the two would be competing, once again as a team, at the Saturday Night Tailgate Brawl ahead of Full Gear 2025. On the latest episode of AEW Collision, it was announced that the pre-show would feature a $200K four-way tag bout pitting the former Acclaimed against Bill and Keith, The Bang Bang Gang, and The Outrunners.During the promo package for the bout, Caster and Bowens reiterated their unwillingness to work together. Caster further voiced the hope that after winning the cash prize, he would never have to team with Bowens again and reiterated his request to Tony Khan, asking him not to force them to be a unit."Bowens said: 'Two hundred thousand dollars? Tony, that's not nearly enough to get me to want to tag with this guy.'" Caster: "Yeah, we can't agree on anything except we don't wanna be a tag team. But you're forcing us, so I guess we'll take your money, beat up all your wrestlers, and hopefully never tag again. Don't make us do this, please."It remains to be seen if Caster and Bowens will end up two hundred grand richer this coming Saturday.Matches announced for AEW Full GearAEW will host the 2025 edition of its annual pay-per-view Full Gear in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on November 22.
