A new update about Nixon Newell and her partner Miranda Alize's future in AEW has emerged after their walkout incident, and things are not looking good for the duo.During last Saturday's AEW Collision tapings, Nixon Newell (fka Tegan Nox) and Miranda Alize were scheduled to face Anna Jay and Tay Melo (TayJay) in a tag team match. However, Newell and Alize were replaced an hour before the match started because they apparently walked out. Earlier reports claimed that the duo decided to leave after being asked to put TayJay over. However, new reports and a statement from Newell herself confirmed that wasn't the case, and it was more a matter of time allocation on the show. Now, a new report from Wrestling Observer Radio has suggested that the duo may never be booked in AEW again.Speaking on a recent episode of WOR, analyst Dave Meltzer said that he doesn't expect them to return to programming while discussing the incident and Newell's statement."All I know is, I do not expect these two to be booked in AEW, " said Dave MeltzerMeanwhile, Bryan Alvarez revealed that although Newell stated there were no hard feelings, the noise he was hearing from his sources was not positive."Let me tell you something I heard from a lot of people, and what is amazing is that the show was going on. So, people weren't even waiting until the show was over. Maybe Tony told them there were no hard feelings, but I can tell you one thing, there were so many people that were like 'such a stupid thing to do,' that's the one thing i heard over and over, 'what a stupid thing to do.,'" said AlvarezNixon Newell's remarks on the AEW Collision walkout incidentMeanwhile, Nixon Newell recently broke her silence about the walkout incident during her Twitch stream. The former WWE star explained that her and Alize's issue was with the allocated time, not the fact that they were scheduled to lose the match to TayJay."We turn up Saturday, hanging around, not told anything until just after doors open. We’re told, ‘You’re wrestling TayJay.’ Cool. We come up with a bunch of ideas and we’re ready. They walk away, come back, ‘By the way, it’s three minutes.’ Nobody is going to be happy with three minutes. We weren’t there going, ‘What the f**k? Three minutes? What the f**k?’ It was never that...We decided collectively as a partnership, a couple, a tag, as wrestlers independently, that three minutes is going to benefit no one in this match. It won’t make anyone look good," said Newell on streamGiven the seriousness of the incident, the futures of both Alize and Newell in an AEW context remain uncertain.
