Some exciting news for Death Riders fans, as two of its members are going to compete for a top championship outside of AEW.The Death Riders are one of the vicious heel groups ever formed in recent times in the world of professional wrestling. Led by Jon Moxley, the faction, which also includes Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, Pac, and Daniel Garcia, has caused chaos in the Jacksonville-based promotion since September 2024. The group has also made its presence felt outside of AEW, as shown by Marina Shafir being the reigning DEFY Women's Champion, a title she has held for over a year and a half. Now, members Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta are set to challenge for a major tag team championship outside of Tony Khan's promotion.It was revealed that Garcia and Yuta will be going to Arena Mexico to challenge for the CMLL World Tag Team Titles, currently held by Los Hermanos Chavez (Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja). The rivalry reached a boiling point last week in the Blood and Guts match, where team Conglomeration defeated the Riders after the Purveyor of Violence tapped out to Reilly's ankle lock.Last night on the three-hour special of Dynamite+Collision, the two groups clashed again, ending with O'Reilly challenging the former AEW World Champion to a No Holds Barred match at Full Gear this Saturday. Moxley hasn't officially accepted the challenge yet, but considering his recent setbacks against O'Reilly, fans can expect the match to be confirmed soon.
