A popular AEW star was supposed to be part of the Blood & Guts match. However, she was replaced due to injury.
Last week on AEW Dynamite, the company held the first-ever women's Blood & Guts match. This match stole the show as the women delivered stellar performances. The women in the match didn't hesitate to take each other to the limit as they were involved in many dangerous spots. One person who had to sit out the match was Queen Aminata. She was originally slated to be in the match, but got injured days before the show.
During her recent vlog, Queen Aminata expressed how she felt as she had to watch her friends compete in the Blood & Guts match.

AEW star Queen Aminata hopes to be part of next year's Blood and Guts match
Queen Aminata has been growing leaps and bounds on AEW TV in recent weeks and has shown she has what it takes to climb to the top of the women's division. The Blood & Guts match is a huge missed opportunity for her, as it could've elevated her to the next level.
During the same vlog, Queen Aminata recalled watching the match in Gorilla position and going through so many emotions. She also noted how proud she was of all the girls who competed in the match before thanking AEW for supporting women's wrestling. She also said she hoped to be a part of Blood & Guts next year.
“I still can’t process it, honestly, because i was watching in gorilla and i had so many emotions, like, in my head and my body. I was so mad and sad and frustrated that I wasn’t part of the match, but the girls were doing so freaking amazing that I was happy and excited at the same time. It’s just like such a weird feeling. Like I just wanted to be there and just bleed and do all these crazy, amazing stuff that they were doing. But at the same time, I was supporting my girls too. I’m super duper proud of all of us. Like, thank you, AEW. Thank you for supporting women wrestling. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope we do it next year again. I hope I’m part of it next year.” [H/T Fightful]
It will be interesting to see if All Elite Wrestling will book another women's Blood & Guts match next year.
