At the Ring of Honor 2025 pay-per-view, Ricochet defended his AEW National Championship against Dalton Castle in a singles showdown, which was the first an All Elite title was defended at an ROH show. The One and Only and his opponent had a good start to their match and began showcasing their in-ring athleticism as the pace picked up.

The former WWE United States Champion unleashed his fury of hard-hitting and high-flying moves against the upstart star, Dalton Castle. Throughout the midway, Ricochet had the upper hand on Castle and seemingly dominated inside the ring. However, Castle came back in full force and showed his resilience against the King of Flight.

Moreover, his fury and anger were on display after he was literally manhandling the AEW star with bear hugs and power-packed moves. In that moment, it looked like an evenly matched showdown, and frustrations began to show on Ricochet's face, who was trying his best to put down Castle. However, he took the action outside the ring and even delivered a slam to his opponent on the ring apron, inflicting major damage on his back.

Back inside the ring, Castle hit The Demand's leader with a Bang-a-rang, and it almost looked like he had dethroned the champion for his title, but he kicked out at the count of two and smartly rolled out of the ring. He found an opening and shoved one of the boys in support of Castle into him.

The final moments of the spectacular bout allowed him enough time to roll back in the ring. As Dalton Castle came inside, Ricochet nailed him with the Spirit Gun finisher and pinned his shoulders to retain his AEW National Championship. This marked The One and Only's successful debut at the ROH Final Battle event.
