AEW star Deonna Purrazzo made history this past Friday at one of Ring of Honor's annual events. The technical expert has now officially reached a huge milestone pertaining to her career inside the squared circle. On December 5, ROH rolled into the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio to host the 2025 iteration of Final Battle. The event presented the finals of the ongoing tournament to crown the inaugural ROH Women's Pure Champion, pitting Deonna Purrazzo against Billie Starkz. The Virtuosa successfully overcame the Minion in Training after a back-and-forth contest to become the first-time holder of the belt. A few hours earlier on X/Twitter, it was noted by a user that the former TNA and WWE superstar had wrestled her debut match against Jana twelve years ago at a D2W Pro Wrestling show in New Jersey on December 6, 2013. Purrazzo responded to the post by sharing a photograph of herself with her newly-won ROH Women's Pure Title, reflecting on her career so far with a three-word caption. "What a life ✨♥️," Purrazzo wrote. Purrazzo made her AEW debut in January last year by confronting Mariah May (currently WWE's Blake Monroe) on Dynamite. However, she has not been seen in action on AEW's television programming in some time, having last wrestled on Dynamite in a losing effort against Harley Cameron this past February. She also unsuccessfully competed in a TBS Title Four-Way Eliminator bout against Serena Deeb, Queen Aminata and eventual winner Yuka Sakazaki on Collision: Homecoming in January before that.
