While CM Punk made a lot of enemies during his time in AEW, he also made a lot of friends in the company. One of the people with whom he formed a close friendship is Danhausen. The two of them have often engaged in some friendly banter online. Danhausen often refers to Punk as Pepsiman, which is a reference to the latter's Pepsi tattoo. These two men continued their bizarre friendship even though they work for different companies.

Bully Ray said CM Punk's World Title win didn't seem like a big deal

CM Punk faced off against Jey Uso for the vacated World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event. After a hard-fought contest, it was Punk who walked away with the win. While the whole world was celebrating Punk's win, a WWE legend didn't think it was a big deal.

Speaking on his Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray said that Punk's win didn't really matter because WWE was pivoting from their original plans due to Seth Rollins' injury.

"Listen, everything went fine. Everything was good; everything worked out. No problems. They put the championship on Punk. There’s no negative to what they did. But it just didn’t feel like a big deal. Yes, the fans were happy; yes, the place popped. But it just didn’t feel like a win that really, really mattered. It felt like a win because they had to do something based on what happened to Seth. And I think subconsciously that’s in the back of everybody’s minds,” he said.
