A WWE veteran believes Chris Jericho has subtly told AEW he's leaving, without explicitly stating it. The veteran feels that Y2J made indirect comments suggesting he is close to departing the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Chris Jericho is considered a pro-wrestling legend for the legacy he has built in the industry, first with WWE, where he achieved legendary status as a top performer, and then with AEW since 2019, where he helped boost the promotion's prominence. Although Y2J is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling, he's been absent from programming since April, which has led to rumors of his return to WWE. Those speculations were further fueled recently after Le Champion took some digs at the Jacksonville-based promotion in a recent episode of his Talk is Jericho podcast. During the podcast, Y2J called TNA the 2nd biggest promotion while also insulting an AEW show in Philadelphia. These comments caught the eye of former WWE personality and sports veteran Jonathan Coachman, who believes that Y2J has pretty much said that he wants to leave Tony Khan's promotion, without actually saying it.
Coachman was speaking on a recent edition of his Coach and Bro show with Vince Russo, where he said:
"Alright, Vince, sometimes a talent will tell you they are leaving without telling you that they are leaving. Recently Chris Jericho, who we haven't seen on AEW TV in a minute, was doing a podcast. He was looking in really good shape, like he's lost a lot of weight, but he also talked about a recent TNA event that might surprise you. Basically Vince, he said TNA's last show looked like a mini WrestleMania. It looked like they were the No.2 promotion in the world. This is a guy who is still under contract with AEW. You don't go on a podcast and say that. Also, he insulted their own show when they were in Philadelphia, at the small arena." (47:40 - 48:38)

Mark Henry recommends AEW star Chris Jericho for a possible new role in WWE
During a recent appearance on TMZ's Inside the Ring, WWE legend Mark Henry discussed rumors about Chris Jericho's seemingly upcoming return to WWE and mentioned that, upon his return, he should be given a top role in WWE creative.
“Chris Jericho should be a high up at WWE creative. He’s probably the most versatile and innovative guy that has wrestled in the last 20 years." [H/T WrestlePurists on X]
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Le Champion.
