In an interesting turn of events, Chris Jericho has seemingly fired a shot at AEW, as he spoke about one of their recent shows. This comes after he has been linked to a potential return to WWE.

Jericho has not been seen in the Jacksonville-based promotion since April, when he lost the ROH World Championship during the Dynasty pay-per-view. With his contract reportedly set to expire in December, there have been widespread rumors and speculation about his next major move, including a return to WWE.

During the latest episode of his Talk is Jericho podcast, Chris Jericho spoke about TNA Bound for Glory last month. He claimed that the crowd that night was like a WWE-level crowd. He then made a bold comparison to AEW, saying how, when put against the company's shows at the ECW Arena, TNA looked like the second-biggest company in the world.

“That crowd looked huge," he said. "It looked huge. It was like a WWE-level crowd. The place was packed. I was watching this and, not saying anything out of school here, but comparing it to watching Dynamite when they were at the ECW Arena, which looked like a Tony Condello taping –sorry, it did – TNA looked like the second biggest company in the world, and that was amazing. And the presentation was amazing.” [H/T WrestlePurists on X]

Chris Jericho addresses his future in the wrestling business

During the same podcast, Chris Jericho was asked about his future, and he has continued to leave everything shrouded in mystery.

He was joined by the Dudley Boyz and the Hardy Boyz, as the focus of this episode was their final match against each other at TNA Bound for Glory. During a point in the podcast, Bully Ray turned the attention to The Nueve and asked if he had anything to say about his future.

Chris Jericho did not give specifics, but he did say that whatever this was, he was going to give 100%:

"Well, I’m just going to give it my all and give it 100%. Just see what happens, brother.”

Chris Jericho's words about TNA are far from a confirmation that he is headed to WWE, but they come at an interesting time because of the way he spoke about AEW. It remains to be seen whether this will turn out to be a major hint of his departure or a situation to be considered in isolation.
