The Nueve has not been seen on the Tony Khan-led promotion since April for their Dynasty pay-per-view. It was around this time that he also began taking some time off from the company to focus on his other endeavors, including his band. With his contract set to expire by the end of the year, there is no information about his next move or whether he decides to re-sign with All Elite Wrestling.

Chris Jericho makes a sudden, bold claim about a popular AEW star

For the past few months, there have been no hints from AEW or Chris Jericho about his long-anticipated return to the promotion. He has also never directly spoken about what has been happening within the company.

In a rare occurrence, Jericho reposted a clip from Collision last night. He posted Eddie Kingston's passionate promo after his win over Katsuyori Shibata. It was in this segment that he called out Samoa Joe for a world title match at Winter is Coming on December 10.

The veteran then made a bold claim, stating that Kingston would be a future world champion.

"FUTURE WORLD CHAMPION," Jericho wrote.

This may be a hint that he is taking a sudden interest in The Mad King or in the world title scene in AEW. It is unclear whether this means he'll put himself in the mix if he returns to the company. Fans will have to stay tuned for some further updates on the situation.
