Chris Jericho has just made another tease at a potential WWE return. This comes amidst rumors and speculation about him returning to the company after the end of his current contract with AEW.

Jericho is a pivotal part of the Jacksonville-based promotion and was even their inaugural world champion during their formation in 2019. He has not been seen in around eight months, and there has yet to be any information on a potential return. His contract is up by the end of the year, and he may have made his last appearance for AEW if he decides to go straight back to WWE.

Chris Jericho has made an interesting post on his TikTok account. He posted the Titantron video of his former theme song in WWE. This was the entrance theme he used during his early days with the company, including the iconic 10-second countdown before his entrance.

John Cena's father hoped Chris Jericho was his son's final opponent

A few days ago, during his appearance on the All Axxess podcast, John Cena Sr. named four individuals who he believed should have been involved in his son's retirement match. These were Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, JBL, and Adam Copeland.

Later on in the podcast, he also spoke about how he believed that Gunther was not the right opponent for his son. He mentioned how the Ring General did not need the match as he was a made star.

Jericho also recently shared some interesting information about himself and Cena. During the span of his career, the 17-time world champion has only tapped out four times. This was twice against Kurt Angle and once against both Chris Benoit and Y2J.

Unfortunately, it seems like the two icons won't cross paths with John Cena set to retire next week at Saturday Night's Main Event. But fans will have to wait and see whether Chris Jericho will return to WWE next year.
