Buddy Matthews has been sidelined with an injury for the past few months. He has now shared a huge health update.Buddy Matthews is one of the best performers on the AEW roster. He has been consistently delivering excellent matches in the ring. Buddy was also on the verge of a singles push earlier this year when he challenged Kazuchika Okada for the Continental Championship at Grand Slam Australia. However, Matthews suffered an injury during his entrance. Despite this injury, the former WWE star was able to complete the match. However, he was unable to win the title in front of his home crowd. Since then, he has been out of action due to the injury.Recently, the AEW star took to social media to provide a health update. He said that today was the first time since his surgery that he was able to hit a hack squat. He also revealed that he still experiences numbness, but he is hopeful that it will subside in the future."UPDATE: Today was the first time since surgery to hit a hack squat - still very restricted with ankle mobility but working on it daily! Numbness is still a factor but hopefully subsides in the near future but still unknown at this time. Swelling depends on the amount of rehab I've done that day but easily maintained with Icing post.
