Bryan Danielson gets WWE's locker room talking; he's giving advice to a beloved star

Bryan Danielson supposedly offers a beloved WWE superstar advice on their in-ring work. The latter, Nikki Bella, is one half of The Bella Twins, and the sister of Danielson's wife Brie.

After appearing in the Women's Royal Rumble match earlier this year, Nikki Bella returned a few months later to participate in another 20-woman battle royal at Evolution 2025. She has been regularly competing on WWE programming since then, and unsuccessfully challenged Becky Lynch for her Women's Intercontinental Championship this past August at Clash in Paris. As of late, the Hall of Famer has been feuding with The Judgement Day, and earlier this week on Monday Night RAW she teamed with Stephanie Vaquer to defeat Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.

On the latest edition of The Bella Twins' podcast, The Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Bella alluded to her peers' reacting to her revelation that AEW announcer and former World Champion Bryan Danielson gives her feedback on her work. The former WWE Divas Champion claimed that The American Dragon sends her material to watch and learn from, and gives her "honest" advice, which has seemingly motivated her to channel more intensity in her wrestling.

"At Raw, I was talking with some of the girls and we were talking about my match last week and I was like, ‘Yeah, Bryan, blah, blah.’ They were like, ‘Oh my God, cool, Bryan gives you advice?’ ‘Yeah, he gives me feedback. He sent me stuff to watch and will tell me things to work out.’ They’re like, ‘Dude, you’re so lucky.’ ‘I know, and he’s honest.’ Did you notice I had a little more intensity going into things? I was really trying to think of it, which I need to continue, but you saw it more than before."

Both Nikki and Brie Bella briefly worked with Danielson on the Stamford-based promotion's programming in late 2010. Brie started dating Bryan around that time, and the two tied the knot years later in April, 2014.

WWE's Rusev on losing to Bryan Danielson in AEW

Months after asking for his release from AEW last year, Rusev finally parted ways with the Tony Khan-led promotion this past February, and returned to WWE later in April. Recently, The Bulgarian Brute spoke up against rumors claiming that his extensive hiatus on AEW television stemmed from his refusal to put over his peers in the company. The erstwhile "Redeemer" pointed to his loss to Sammy Guevara, to whom he dropped his TNT Championship, and to Bryan Danielson at Full Gear 2021, while speaking to Shak Wrestling, stating:

"Clearly, when I lost to Sammy Guevara the title, that didn’t make any sense. When I lost to Daniel Bryan right after that, that didn’t make any sense. When I lost to whoever, like – so, let the people go back and review whatever I’ve done and we’ll talk about that," he said. [H/T - ITR Wrestling]

Rusev's bout against The Dragon at Full Gear was the final match of an Eliminator Tournament for a shot at the AEW World Championship.
