Britt Baker sends a message to another absent AEW star amid her hiatus from the company

Britt Baker has been missing from AEW programming for almost a year now. The former champion recently sent a social media message to her once on-screen ally, Rebel, who has been on hiatus from the company herself.

Earlier this year, rumors began making the rounds that Britt Baker's time at All Elite Wrestling may have neared its end, alongside claims of her supposed backstage issues and interpersonal conflicts in the locker-room. These and other speculations suggesting that The DMD was looking to part ways with the company were refuted by later reports, with even AEW CEO Tony Khan clarifying that he was looking forward to bringing the star back to programming whenever the opportunity presented itself.

While Baker's hiatus from All Elite Wrestling television is still ongoing, she has continued to stay active on her social media channels. The former Women's World Champion recently took to her Instagram story to drop a throwback photograph alongside her former on-screen ally Rebel. The duo were respectively dressed up as Axl Rose and Slash from the iconic American rock band, Guns N' Roses, presumably for Halloween five years ago.

Initially employed in a backstage capacity, Rebel began making appearances on AEW programming on-screen since around 2020, playing the role of Britt Baker's exclusive makeup artist. She also wrestled a number of matches for the company, although she has not competed inside an All Elite Wrestling ring since August, 2022. The 47-year-old suffered an injurious fall that caused her to return to emergency care last month, and continues to be on hiatus herself.

What was Britt Baker's last AEW match?

Britt Baker has yet to wrestle a single match under the All Elite Wrestling banner this year. The last time The Doctor was seen inside an AEW ring was on the November 13, 2024 episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite last year. Baker battled Penelope Ford in singles action, and picked up the win over the "Superbad Girl" in just under nine minutes.

It remains to be seen whether Tony Khan will reintroduce Britt Baker to All Elite Wrestling television anytime soon.
