The match started at a good pace as both teams locked horns in front of a passionate audience inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. At the start of the tag team showdown, Brodido managed to gain the upper hand. However, FTR overpowered them and used every decisive move in their arsenal, from submissions to even a double team move on Bandido on the announcer's desk outside the ring. Some spots even saw the ROH star fight off FTR's double-team moves on his own, finally managing to tag in his dominant partner, Brody King. The AEW star used his size and physical strength to take down both FTR members upon becoming the legal man, as the crowd chanted loudly in his favor. Harwood and Wheeler managed to get the advantage over him for a bit, but Brody King diffused their attempts and even took out Stokely with a suicide dive outside the ring meant for Wheeler. With Brody King out of commission for a bit, FTR hit a Power of Glory double team move on Bandido, but still managed to get only a two count, fueling the excitement further in the match. The Most Wanted star regained control and delivered a huge crossbody on FTR outside the ring, which led to a 'This is Awesome' chant. However, just when the duo hit the Shatter Machine on Bandido, Brody King made the save by breaking the pinfall. The action continued with jaw-dropping moves and near-falls between both sides until the final moments, when FTR took out Brody King with a Spike Piledriver on the apron and delivered multiple moves on Bandido, who refused to quit until the final Shatter Machine, to pin him and win their third AEW World Tag Team Championships.
