An ex-WWE star made her wrestling debut in the Tony Khan-led promotion during a recent major show. The star cut ties with the Stamford-based promotion just a few months back.The former WWE star, Zayda Steel made her in-ring debut in Tony Khan-owned Ring of Honor. The 22-year-old star was signed under the Stamford-based promotion's ID programme. After performing on EVOLVE for months, Steel chose not to re-sign her ID contract and became a free agent in October.Zayda Steel appeared on a recent Ring of Honor show and was later announced for a match against Leila Grey at the ROH Final Battle pay-per-view. At the PPV, Zayda showcased her amazing athletic abilities on her debut. However, she came up short as Leila Grey ended up capturing the win.Zayda Steel has been on the independent wrestling scene since the year 2022, and she got the big break after signing with the Sports Entetainment Juggernaut's ID programme. Nonetheless, after cutting ties with the ID programme, Zayda continues to perform on the indies and has now made her Ring of Honor debut as well.Tony Khan on former WWE star showing up in his promotionAfter the former WWE star, Zayda Steel showed up on a recent Ring of Honor show, Khan was asked about the star's status. Speaking on the ROH Final Battle Media Call, Tony said he is interested to see more of her and asked fans to stay tuned:“Well, I think we’ll stay tuned as Zayda Steel’s doing a great job and I think she does great work. She’s come out and we saw that promo with Leila Grey. I thought that was very interesting this week on ROH… Certainly, Zayda brought some good interest and I’d be interested to see more of her in ROH for sure so, stay tuned,” Khan stated.Only time will tell what's next for Zayda Steel following her Ring of Honor in-ring debut.
