A wrestling veteran has drawn attention after calling Bobby Lashley a main event player in AEW.
Bobby Lashley made a shocking debut in AEW on an episode of Dynamite in October 2024. That night, The Almighty confronted one of the promotion's biggest stars, Swerve Strickland. Since then, Lashley has grown stronger in Tony Khan's promotion, teaming with MVP and Shelton Benjamin as part of the Hurt Syndicate. So far, the 49-year-old has held the AEW World Tag Team Championship once with Benjamin, and it appears the Jacksonville-based promotion now aims to push Lashley's singles career.
The Almighty recently competed in a 4-way match to determine Hangman Page's challenger for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear. Although he lost, he now has another opportunity at a singles title in the Casino Gauntlet match for the new National Championship at Full Gear. Before that match, wrestling veteran Jim Cornette stated that Bobby Lashley is a main event guy.
Cornette was speaking on the most recent edition of his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, where he discussed the status of the Almighty in Jacksonville-based promotion.

"Bobby Lashley, one would agree. He's a Main Event guy. He's a former WWE Champion, the people like the Hurt Syndicate. He's got credibility. Used properly, one would think he could be in the main events," Cornette said. [H/T: Wrestling News].

Jim Cornette says Samoa Joe should punish AEW legend Tony Schiavone
On Dynamite: Fright Night a few weeks ago, Samoa Joe became the No.1 Contender for Hangman Adam Page's World Title after winning a 4-way match. Following his victory, Tony Schiavone appeared in the ring to facilitate the contract signing for the match. However, the veteran announcer turned out to be Page in disguise, who revealed himself and attacked Joe.
On an earlier edition of the Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran weighed in on this segment and said that Joe should punish Schiavone for this incident, as he believed he was involved in it.
"Yes! I think he ought to Coquina Clutch Schiavone to f***ing Kingdom come. He had to be in on it... Schiavone and Page obviously had to collaborate and cross-dress with each other, so I think he's guilty," Cornette said.
On last week's Dynamite, Joe demanded answers from Schiavone, but before he could get to him, Hangman Page came to his aid.
