A popular AEW star recently shared a heartbreaking confession on her social media. The post garnered a reaction from NXT star Blake Monroe.
For those who haven't followed her career, Blake Monroe (formerly Mariah May) was a key figure in AEW's women's division for years. The former Mariah May spent two years (2023-2025) in the Jacksonville-based promotion and even held the Women's World Championship once. That was the last notable achievement Monroe had in Tony Khan's promotion before moving to WWE in May 2025. During her time in All Elite Wrestling, popular star Mina Shirakawa was her closest ally. The two shared a very public and deep friendship, having gone through their STARDOM days together, along with a major personal feud in All Elite Wrestling.
Earlier today, Shirakawa shared an emotional post on Instagram, saying she was shattered to have lost her best friend this year. While the comment was made in character by the Japanese star, it could also imply that she was referencing Monroe's betrayal during their feud in AEW and/or her departure for WWE. Monroe, meanwhile, responded to Shirakawa's post with a Miss you too message.
"Miss you too..," wrote Monroe

Former AEW star Blake Monroe (fka Mariah May) had said she is a game-changer in WWE
During an interview with Scott Johnson on Going Ringside, recorded when Monroe was a rising star in WWE, the Woman from Hell stated that she is prepared to take over NXT.
"I feel like I’m upgrading NXT, making it a lot more glamorous, but I pretty much take over any show that I’m on. So, you can expect NXT to become much more glamorous, which is what I said in my debut," she said. [H/T: SeScoops]
Months later, Monroe (also known as The Glamour) is now the reigning NXT North American Women's Champion, with a bright future ahead in the Stamford-based promotion.
