Jericho has been on a hiatus from the Jacksonville-based promotion since April. He has been away from the company to focus on some of his endeavors outside the ring, which include his band, Fozzy, going on a tour. This has since then concluded, but he has yet to be seen. In the meantime, he has continued to make appearances for his band and at some conventions around the United States.

Chris Jericho's appearance at The Arrowhead in Calgary has just been announced. This weekend, he'll be at the venue seemingly with his band as they will pay tribute to the late Larry Gillstrom of Kick Axe.

Tony Khan addresses Chris Jericho's absence from AEW

Earlier today, while on the Ariel Helwani Show, Tony Khan was asked about Jericho and whether he'd still return to AEW.

Khan discussed how the door is still open for Chris Jericho. He did not dive into specifics but revealed that they've not been able to work out dates for him. He hoped that he'd eventually be able to return to the company.

"I can't speak to that, but I love Chris in AEW, and the door is always open for him to come in... It's a good question, and some of it just comes down to working out the dates. I would rather not get into it, but I respect you asking about it. If I can give as much information as possible to try to keep a very constructive dialogue. I hope we get Chris back in, and a star like Chris Jericho can negotiate a certain number of dates, and Chris has always been great about being one of the wrestlers in AEW that, when he's in, he's all the way in.
