A former WWE icon currently signed with AEW has seemingly confirmed his return to the company next month. The individual in question, Jim Ross, had been dealing with some health issues earlier this year.

Good Ol' JR has been a key presence for All Elite Wrestling since the year of its foundation, where he has lent his voice and credibility as a commentator. As of late, however, Ross has been missing from the broadcast desk of AEW's Wednesday night show, Dynamite, and was last seen calling the action on pay-per-view this past August at Forbidden Door 2025.

Having dealt with multiple health issues earlier this year, JR revealed recently that he was feeling better than he had in some time. Although he was expected to return to PPV announcing duties at Full Gear 2025, the veteran did not appear at the event. On the latest edition of the Grilling JR podcast, Ross addressed his AEW comeback, claiming that it might take place next month, presumably for the Worlds End pay-per-view.

AEW's Jim Ross commented on the passing of another veteran

News broke around a week ago that Robert Caudle, a veteran pro-wrestling broadcast personality, had passed away at the age of 95. The North Carolina-native established himself in the industry with his work in NWA-Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling, where he had been a colleague of Jim Ross at one point. He had furthermore worked for Jim Crockett Promotions, and later at Smoky Mountain Wrestling, another promotion where JR had also been employed.

Ross paid tribute to Caudle on social media in the wake of his passing. Taking to X/Twitter, the AEW legend penned a heartwarming note for the departed figure, writing:

"I’m so sad to hear of Bob Caudle’s passing. He was a wonderful man and a great broadcaster. Loved him."

It remains to be seen when JR will grace the All Elite Wrestling commentary desk next.
