Andrade shares cryptic post amid legal battle with WWE

Andrade has been away from AEW because of his legal issues with WWE. Now, amid that dispute, El Idolo has posted a rather cryptic message.

The wrestling world was stunned when Andrade returned to AEW in October this year, appearing on the six-year anniversary episode of the company's flagship show, Dynamite. That night, El Idolo attacked Kenny Omega and joined forces with Don Callis, leaving fans excited about what's next. However, in an interesting turn of events, his return has turned out to be his last appearance on AEW programming, as it was soon revealed that the former NXT Champion had violated WWE's non-compete clause by appearing in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Currently, El Idolo faces a 12-month ban from wrestling in North America, which his lawyers are contesting. Amid his issues, Andrade posted a cryptic message on Instagram. The post features the Mexican star seemingly flexing after a workout, wearing a tank top with the message "I'm not perfect, I'm original." The message also serves as the caption of the post.

Tony Khan speaks on Andrade's legal situation with WWE

It goes without saying that Andrade's legal battles with WWE have derailed whatever plans Tony Khan had around him in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Recently, the AEW President shared details about his relationship with El Idolo and said that he'll be keeping an eye on his situation.

Speaking on an appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show, Khan said:

"I had a great experience with him, and he left on the best of terms. And now, when he said he was free and made his one night appearance, I was thrilled to see him again. Anytime he's free – whenever that is – he is absolutely always welcome… It is an interesting situation that I am going to keep an eye on, but I absolutely think the world of Andrade El Idolo.”

It will be interesting to see when Andrade will finally return to AEW.
