Andrade recently returned to AEW after his second WWE stint came to an end. He showed up, made a statement by attacking Kenny Omega, and joined The Don Callis Family. After the former NXT Champion made his comeback, WWE sent All Elite Wrestling a cease-and-desist letter. The Stamford-based company claimed that the Mexican star had violated a non-compete clause that came into effect after his termination. He could reportedly be out of action for a year for this reason. During a recent interview with Los Protagonistas, the 36-year-old revealed why World Wrestling Entertainment released him. He also discussed his non-compete clause and how he is handling the issue. Andrade said that he received a warning from WWE because he had purchased medicines/supplements from Mexico, which are not permitted by the company. He then spoke with them, and they eventually agreed to let him go. Furthermore, he apparently did not have a non-compete clause, but it took effect when he made his AEW comeback. When he found out about it, he hired a lawyer. They are currently negotiating for the clause and hoping that he does not have to be out of action for a year. Unfortunately, he is unaware exactly when an agreement will be reached.Vince Russo calls WWE unlawful for the way they are treating AndradeOn a recent appearance on Sportskeeda wrestling's Writing with Russo, wrestling legend Vince Russo criticized WWE for the above non-compete clause. According to the 64-year-old, the Stamford-based company was treating the former Speed Champion unlawfully. "You cannot stop somebody from making a living....those guys don't want to burn any bridges or piss anybody off because they think they're going to get called back again. B S man, that they're trying to get away with something that, you know, literally is unlawful. And if you allow them to get away with that, I mean, they're going to keep doing it to everybody else," Russo said.Only time will tell what the future holds for Andrade. Hopefully, he will be back in AEW soon.
