AEW star Andrade has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons for the past month. While his AEW return should have been the talking point, WWE's rumored cease-and-desist notice might have stolen the spotlight. Just a couple of days after returning, he was taken off TV after reportedly breaching the non-compete clause unknowingly. As a result, he has been banned from AEW for one year.Interestingly, the 36-year-old star can still wrestle outside of the United States. Days before getting banned, he won the Crash Heavyweight Championship of the Mexican wrestling promotion Crash Lucha Libre. He was recently announced as a candidate for the promotion's show. Surprisingly, reports claim that he left the arena while signing autographs. After several hours following the incident, the 36-year-old star shed light on the situation. El Idolo took to X and said that after walking out, he went to have Chinese food."I went to that Chinese place called HK!!!" he wrote.David Otunga helps AndradeAfter he was reportedly banned for one year without pay, David Otunga, also a lawyer, claimed that the 36-year-old star could easily win the case in court, as WWE cannot deprive him of his source of employment without compensation.Revisiting the issue once again on TMZ's Inside The Ring, David said that he and El Idolo got in touch to talk about it.“Everybody was telling me, ‘Hey, you should reach out to Andrade. Make sure he should see this.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, actually, Andrade probably should see my video.’ And then he did. I'll say this — reached out and we spoke. Can't really get into it more than that, but I'm just happy that the videos I'm putting out are actually helping people. They're actually helping wrestlers," he said.It remains to be seen what is next in the El Idolo-WWE saga.
