In an interesting move, Britt Baker has just been subtly acknowledged by AEW in one of their recent major projects. This comes after she has not been seen on TV in roughly a year.

Baker has not competed in the ring since November 13, 2024, when she took on Penelope Ford in singles action. She has also not been mentioned in any capacity on-screen, and there have not been any reports regarding her future. Her contract is not set to expire anytime soon, which has raised questions regarding why she has yet to be utilized once more.

AEW has officially released its new book, This Book is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling. The cover of the book has a dose of nostalgia, as this includes several originals and pivotal stars from the roster, including Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, Hangman Page, Chris Jericho, the Young Bucks, Darby Allin, Hikaru Shida, and Britt Baker.

Tony Khan finally talks about Britt Baker and her absence

Following her extended absence from the promotion, there have been various rumors and speculation regarding Baker and her future with AEW.

While appearing on Z100 New York, Tony Khan was asked if he had anything to say regarding the former AEW Women's World Champion. He was full of praise for her and hoped that she'd make her way back to the company and make her official return. Similar to some of his other statements, it seems like he wants to keep this as vague as he can.

“What a great star in AEW Dr. Britt Baker has been. She is still a fantastic wrestling star. She's been away from AEW for a while, but still very much with us, and at some point, hopefully soon, I'd love to see Britt Baker come back,” said Khan. [H/T: Drainmaker on X]

With 2025 about to come to an end, it remains to be seen whether Baker will finally make her return to the company. Fans should continue to stay tuned as there may be some surprises before the year's end.
