The former WWE United States Champion departed from the Stamford-based promotion last year in June due to creative differences. He made his debut for the Tony Khan led promotion at last year's All In London pay-per-view as a surprise entrant in the Casino Gauntlet match.

Since then, he has become one of the most interesting heels on the company's roster. He's currently the leader of the faction named "The Demand" alongside the Gates of Agony. The group is currently feuding with the Hurt Syndicate and are heavily featured on AEW programming.
