Now, Queen Aminata, who was expecting to become the first-ever ROH Women's World Television Champion, is pulled from the tourney.The 32-year-old star had neck issues earlier in November. She was announced in the lineup of the first-ever women's AEW Blood and Guts match. Unfortunately, days before the match, Mina Shirakawa replaced her. She was also about to face AEW star Deonna Purrazzo in the semifinals of the ROH Women's Pure Championship.In the recent edition of the ROH episode, Queen Aminata withdrew her name from the competition because she didn't want to risk her neck. As a result, Deonna has reached the tournament finals.AEW President Tony Khan expected Queen Aminata to get better before Final BattleQueen Aminata's neck condition has apparently worsened over time. It's been almost a month since she announced her injury.While speaking on the ROH Final Battle media call, Tony Khan revealed that he expected her to get medically cleared ahead of the Final Battle, but now that she isn't, she will have to leave the tournament.“Unfortunately, and it’s unexpected because we thought she would be cleared by now, Queen Aminata is still dealing with the aftereffects of that injury. Queen Aminata was not cleared and she will have to forfeit. We’ve given her as much time as I could to have her come back and wrestle. The plan was to tape the semifinals last night. The doctors would not clear her to do that match," he said.It remains to be seen who will become the first ROH Women's Pure Champion. Many are also wondering when Queen Aminata will make her in-ring return in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
