The AEW star Nick Wayne might have tricked Tony Khan. The 20-year-old star is the current ROH World Television Champion. After his successful title defence against Willie Mack in July, Wayne has been out of action due to injury. During the Ring of Honor Final Battle media call before the event, Tony Khan said that Nick Wayne's injury timeline has changed.

Khan thought that Wayne would be back by the Final Battle pay-per-view, but he didn't. Tony also informed that if he had known that Nick would not be back, an interim ROH World TV Champion would've been crowned. Khan concluded by informing that Wayne is close to coming back.

An AEW star on his uncertain future in Tony Khan's promotion

The AEW star Darby Allin suffered an injury during his first Continental Classic gold league match recently and is now out of the tournament due to being hospitalized. It was also announced that Jack Perry will replace Darby.

During a backstage promo on Collision last Saturday, Darby urged Jack Perry to win the tournament and confirmed his uncertain future in Tony Khan's promotion:

"Now I hear, Jack Perry is taking my spot. I've never seen eye to eye Jack Perry, but if you're taking my spot man, just go on win the whole thing. I hope you do. As for Darby, I don't know, don't....know," Darby said.

Only time will tell when Darby Allin will be back in action.
