AEW star and former champion Brian Cage has been missing from action due to injury for several months now. The powerhouse has now taken to social media and shared a positive health update. After last year's WrestleDream pay-per-view, Brian Cage left his former trios partners, the Gates of Agony, to join The Don Callis Family. He soon found himself paired up with fellow big-man wrestler Lance Archer, and together they formed a formidable unit called "The Murder Machines." The duo was reportedly set to challenge Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley of The Hurt Syndicate for their AEW World Tag Team Titles at Dynasty 2025. However, plans were scrapped after Cage sustained a quadriceps injury during an independent match against Chris Masters this past March. The Machine has been on the mend since then and has already had surgery for his quad and also for a separate knee issue he had been dealing with. The former FTW Champion went under the knife once again recently, and just over an hour ago, he took to Instagram to share several clips of himself working out in the gym. In the caption, Cage reflected on his recovery and also teased his imminent AEW return."As the name implies, I stay being a MACHINE. After not only surgery(3rd major knee surgery is n 8 months)but quite possibly the three most stressful overwhelming days of my life, I'm right back in there. Clips from the last two days slaying in the gym, and keeping the shreds. I take my #1 body guy card very serious. From gyming right after every surgery to bringing protein powder and bars bedside in the hospital(@superstarkm loves it)."Cage further wrote:"I'm mentally prepared, positive and motivated. The return is going to be epic and I cannot wait. This is the longest I've been out of action professionally and personally, and it still hasn't slowed me down. So everyone on the @aew roster prepare, because I'm coming back like never before."
