AEW star Wardlow has been sidelined with injuries once again. He was absent from March last year due to a knee injury. Even after recovering, he continued his hiatus because he was involved in a major outside project. At the Forbidden Door, he finally came back and ambushed Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland.

The former TNT Champion quickly joined The Don Callis Family. However, just a few days after returning, he injured his pectoral muscle. A recent report also provided a timeline for his return. He might be out for the rest of the year. The update also noted that people backstage are upset because of his second injury within two years.

On tonight's Fright Night Dynamite, Rocky Romero unveiled a painting of The Don Callis Family to kick off their summit. Interestingly, many noticed that Wardlow is no longer in the painting, which suggests he might not be part of the faction.

Veteran believes the ship has sailed for AEW star Wardlow

The former TNT Champion's injuries have always been a major hurdle in his career. He was about to be given a major push, but his recent injury has once again stalled his run.

On Drive Thru, veteran Jim Cornette said that Wardlow has been forgotten because of the time it took him to recover from his injuries. He also said that Mr. Mayhem cannot be part of NXT due to his age.

"He's practically forgotten about. He comes back and hurts himself again, and now, by the time he gets back in the ring, he's going to be almost 40, even closer. They're not going to take him now over there in NXT, if he got the itch to go. So, I think the ship has sailed."

It remains to be seen what will be next for the former TNT Champion when he returns to AEW.
