A popular duo has apparently been broken up by AEW at the Full Gear 2025 pay-per-view. The shocking turn of events took place during the main event of the show. The top duo of Eddie Kingston and HOOK may have been broken up at Full Gear 2025. Ever since his return at All Out 2025, Kingston has been hanging around and teaming with HOOK on TV, as the 26-year-old star seemed to be no longer a member of The Opps with Samoa Joe for the past few months.During the main event of Full Gear 2025, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata of The Opps showed up to provide assistance for Samoa Joe during his AEW World title cage match against Hangman Adam Page. Nonetheless, Eddie Kingston was there to handle The Opps, as he took out Shibata. At the end of a chaotic world title encounter, HOOK entered the cage, and when it seemed like he was there to help Hangman, the 26-year-old shockingly turned heel and helped Samoa Joe win the world title. HOOK also revealed his Opps shirt, showing that he is still a member of Joe's group. Therefore, Kingston and HOOK's duo may have been subtly broken up after HOOK turned heel.A former AEW World Champion made his blockbuster return at Full GearAfter Samoa Joe captured the AEW World Championship in the main event of Full Gear 2025 with the help of HOOK, the former world champion, Swerve Strickland made his anticipated return as well. Swerve was out of action since Forbidden Door 2025 because he had to undergo a meniscus surgery. After the main event of Full Gear, Swerve's manager, Prince Nana showed up before Swerve Strickland made his blockbuster return with a massive pop. Swerve also put the new world champion, Joe on notice following his return. It remains to be seen what transpires between Swerve and Joe following Full Gear 2025.
