The rivalry between Moxley and Allin began months ago. Their last match took place at WrestleDream 2025, where The Daredevil defeated the former Dean Ambrose in a brutal "I Quit" Match. Fans were under the impression that this showdown would conclude their storyline for now. However, they seem not to be done with each other.

WWE legend Bully Ray recently spoke about the feud on the Busted Open podcast. The 54-year-old said that the company has no option but to continue the rivalry between Moxley and Allin because it lacks star power. Ray thinks All Elite Wrestling hardly has megastars or compelling stories. Hence, it is highly dependent on the Moxley-Allin angle.

Khan said that The Purveyor of Violence is very important for the promotion. The former AEW Champion seemingly has immense backstage influence.

"Jon Moxley, since day one, has been one of the most important stars in AEW. But backstage, Jon Moxley’s also—as you’ve correctly assessed—one of the most important people backstage in AEW." [H/T: SEScoops]

The former Dean Ambrose was also a massive name in WWE. Only time will tell if he will return to the Stamford-based company someday.
