As seen on social media, a fan brought their sign to AEW Dynamite last night. However, this was confiscated during the show, and it is unclear who is responsible for this.

For wrestling shows, fans are encouraged to bring signs to express themselves and to show support for the stars they love. This has created several iconic moments, as there have been some hilarious fan signs spotted during shows. However, there have been instances where these have been confiscated due to being NSFW or being related to a sensitive topic.

A user on X/Twitter posted about being around for last night's episode of AEW Dynamite in Houston, Texas. They posted pictures of signs they were planning to bring to the venue, with one reading "Gay men 4 Hangman". They hoped that security would not take this away during the show.

Unfortunately, this did end up being the case, and the sign was taken by the venue's security staff during the show. The individual cleared it out and mentioned how it was not Tony Khan who called for this, as venue security was ordered to confiscate this. But it remains to be seen whether this was their own call or if AEW urged them to do so.

A similar situation happened last month on AEW Dynamite

Last month, many expressed their disappointment after an advertisement for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was shown during a show. Hangman Page was one of those who criticized this move and urged the fans to send formal complaints about this to the network.

During a later show, a fan entered the venue for Dynamite with a sign that read "ICE fears Hangman". This sign ended up being confiscated by security during the show.

It is still unclear who makes the calls for these fan signs to be confiscated, and whether this was under the discretion of the venue staff or those within AEW. This begs the question regarding what type of controversial or expressive signs security will turn a blind eye to. Do you think it was right to have these signs confiscated?
