A prominent AEW star who was absent from the promotion due to injury was recently diagnosed with cancer. The star has now shared an update during their rehab. The star is Rebel (also known as Tanea Brooks), who is considered an AEW original because she joined the company in 2019, the year it was founded. While Rebel was vital in putting the company's women's division on the map in the early days, the 47-year-old didn't see much TV time in recent years. A few weeks ago, Rebel had uploaded a heartbreaking health update on her Instagram in which she stated that she has primary pulmonary lymphoma, a cancer in the lungs. Now, amid her ongoing rebah, Rebel has provided an update on her situation.Taking to Instagram, Releb posted a picture of her view and revealed that she does rehab every day from 8 am to 5 pm, but she comes back to her beachside home, easing the tough times she is currently enduring."My view tonight. Being in rehab everyday from 8a-5p , coming home to the sound of waves and the sunset creating pink water, makes it all worth it. #ocean #sky #waves #water #rehab #rebel," Rebel wrote on Instagram.Check out her post below: View this post on Instagram Instagram PostAEW star Rebel was previously misdiagnosedFor those not in the know, Rebel was hospitalized in 2024 for what was suspected to be Cryptococcal Pneumonia.
