Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP), who joined AEW last year after choosing not to re-sign with his previous employer, WWE, has extended his stay. During his time with the Stamford-based promotion, MVP won the WWE United States Championship twice and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship once.

In the later stages of his WWE career, MVP managed the infamous Hurt Business faction, which included Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. Porter reformed this group, upon arriving in Tony Khan's promotion, to the Hurt Syndicate, alongside the Almighty and the Gold Standard, and now serves as its mouthpiece and de facto leader.

MVP has always spoken highly of his ongoing tenure in All Elite Wrestling, so it comes as no surprise that he has chosen to sign a new deal with the company. He revealed this in a recent interview with Ringside News.

MVP on alleged heat with AEW star Mike Bailey

In a recent episode of his podcast, Marking Out with MVP, the Hurt Syndicate leader cleared up whether he has any issues with "Speedball" Mike Bailey, amid speculation that had surfaced during the Syndicate's feud with Bailey's JetSpeed earlier this year.

The rivalry reportedly escalated to a point that it allegedly caused real-life tension between MVP and Bailey. However, on the podcast, MVP stated that there were no issues between them.

“At no point did I ever say that I dislike Speedball Mike Bailey. I don’t have an issue with Speedball. We work together, we see each other, we shake hands, and we keep it moving like there’s no issue there. I don’t have any problems with any of the talent that I work with at AEW. Mike Bailey’s one of the nicest guys around."- [H/T WrestleTalk]

Now that he has signed a new contract, it will be interesting to see if MVP takes on additional roles in All Elite Wrestling.
