The aforementioned star is Dustin Rhodes, who is currently part of All Elite Wrestling. He rose to prominence in professional wrestling as 'Goldust' in World Wrestling Entertainment in the 1990s. His eccentric personality, comedic antics, and in-ring acumen made him one of the best characters in WWE history.

However, Dustin Rhodes left his golden gimmick behind and became 'The Natural' upon signing with AEW in 2019. Moreover, he even confirmed some time back that his Goldust character had retired.

The former TNT Champion took to his X to say he was very happy in AEW and did not want to go back to sitting on the sidelines and getting underpaid and undervalued for his efforts.

Former WWE star Dustin Rhodes sent out a concerning message amid hiatus

Dustin Rhodes has been out of action since dropping the TNT title to Kyle Fletcher in late July. He then underwent double knee replacement surgery and has been on the road to recovery. "Hope y'all are having a great day today. Today was a rough day for me emotionally. Too many thoughts in my head plus this healing process has me exhausted everyday. Man, even though its been a rough one today, gotta #KeepSteppin and hoping tomorrow brings a brighter day. This double Knee replacements is no joke. 💪🏼🤘🏼," Dustin wrote.

With a long road expected to be ahead of him, it remains to be seen when the former WWE superstar will be cleared for in-ring action.
