An up-and-coming pro-wrestling star has recently caught attention after revealing that she would rather join AEW than be a part of WWE. The star in question is Chari Evans, who has been making waves in the independent scene for years now.
Evans, who hails from Australia, has done the majority of her work in the UK and Australia. That said, the 28-year-old has been public about her ambition to wrestle for a major North American promotion someday, and in a recent interview, she revealed that her dream was to join All Elite Wrestling.
In a recent appearance on Wombreezy, the former PWWA Champion was asked whether she had ever spoken with either WWE or the Jacksonville-based promotion. In response, the 28-year-old said she wished she had spoken with Tony Khan's promotion.
“I wish. I wish AEW. Yeah, (All Elite Wrestling) is definitely the goal. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah, I think (All Elite Wrestling) is definitely more my style. Yeah, that’s very much where I want to be.” [ H/T: Fightful]

A major AEW star recently explained why he chose Tony Khan's promotion over WWE
Josh Alexander, who signed with All Elite Wrestling in April of this year, has quickly become a major star in the company. Before joining the Jacksonville-based promotion, the 37-year-old was a key figure in TNA Wrestling and naturally drew interest from other promotions, but he decided to sign with AEW.
In an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Alexander revealed the reason for choosing Tony Khan's promotion over WWE.
"I think AEW is offering a different presentation of pro wrestling than WWE does. So, you know, the scales will tip and fall back and forth here and there. I don’t think one’s going to pull away forever, or that one’s going to go away," he said. [H/T: Ringside News]
As of today, Josh Alexander is an integral part of All Elite Wrestling and a member of one of the promotion's most dominant factions: The Don Callis Family.
