Additionally, WWE recently omitted Jon Moxley just hours before Survivor Series. Moreover, the real reason WWE mentioned Adam Copeland in the company is finally revealed. We have got all this and more as we cover the headline-worthy news coming out of the All Elite Wrestling Universe today. So without further ado, let's get on it:

#4. Reason behind WWE teasing Edge's return

WWE held its Survivor Series PLE this weekend. However, while the company was testing the set for the show, they played the iconic entrances of several stars, including Adam Copeland. Fans went on to believe that it could be a tease for The Rated-R Superstar's comeback to the company. But the reports say it was nothing but a prank by the Stamford-based promotion.

As per PWInsider, a fan started live-streaming the stage construction before the show. Therefore, in order to have a little fun with the fan, the company decided to play iconic entrances of former WWE stars like Edge and Jinder Mahal. The company even played the entrance of Stone Cold Steve Austin, which created a lot of buzz all over the internet. But it was nothing but a joke with no relation to Copeland's return.

#3. Jon Moxley was omitted just before Survivor Series

Jon Moxley was omitted from a video package at Survivor Series this weekend. WWE showcased a video compilation of the top 10 moments in the PLE's history that included major debuts occurring at the show. It featured The SHIELD's iconic debut at Survivor Series 2013. However, WWE only showed Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins from that moment and trimmed Moxley from the footage.

During the moment where the camera was focused on all three members of The SHIELD, WWE edited and zoomed in on Reigns and Rollins only, seemingly erasing the AEW star from just a legendary moment. This move by the Stamford-based promotion was a major topic of discussion among the fans all over the internet.

#2. Andrade confirmed he has not signed a deal with AEW yet

Andrade has been the epicenter of chaos in the world of professional wrestling lately. The former WWE star made his return to AEW on the 6th anniversary of Dynamite and has been away from the ring since then due to allegedly breaching WWE's 90-day non-compete clause. Dave Metlzer reported that Andrade may have signed a full-year deal with All Elite Wrestling following his return.

El Idolo took notice of this comment by Meltzer, and he revealed that he has signed no deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion yet. He added that he received a non-compete clause only after showing up on the 6th anniversary of AEW Dynamite. This is a major development in the controversy around Andrade, making things much more complicated than ever.

"@davemeltzerWON I didn't sign any contract! Sir, you say it with such certainty, that I signed a contract, when that's just another one of your lies. Do some more research, Sir. I was in negotiations to sign because Mr. Tony Khan and the AEW team were having good discussions, and we came to an excellent agreement. I'm especially grateful to TK and AEW in general. Then, I received a non-compete clause after my AEW debut and my first match in Tijuana (The Crash), but I want to clarify that I didn't know if that was the issue with WWE (honestly, I don't know the answer to that). Lo mejor para usted!!! 👍🏼"

#1. Michael Cole mentioned Dean Ambrose at Survivor Series

Michael Cole was on the commentary this weekend at Survivor Series. During the main event WarGames Match, Cole talked about CM Punk's history with the PLE. He recalled The SHIELD's debut at the event to help out The Best in the World. Interestingly, Cole mentioned the names of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and even Dean Ambrose a.k.a. Jon Moxley.

WWE has often tried to erase Moxley from its history since his AEW debut. However, the company also acknowledges his contribution to the commentary time and time again. Moxley worked with Rollins and Reigns in 2013-14 for a while as CM Punk's henchmen. Alongside Mox, Cole also mentioned Ryback and Alberto Del Rio.
