10 Shocking Injuries That Destroyed WWE Stars - Watch Here!

#1. LFI's Rush is out with a knee injury

Rush arrived in AEW in 2022 as an ally of Andrade El Idolo and a member of La Facción Ingobernable. It did not take long for El Toro Blanco to make his mark on the promotion, where he impressed viewers with his performances against top stars, such as Jack Perry, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, MJF, and Adam Page.

Rush has been regularly featured not only on the television programming of All Elite Wrestling, but also on Ring of Honor, a brand whose tag team championship he held alongside Sammy Guevara since this past August.

Unfortunately, it was revealed recently that the LFI member will be out of action due to a knee injury. As such, he and The Spanish God had to vacate the ROH World Tag Team Title.

Recent reports have noted that Rush's brother and stablemate, Dralistico, is also out of commission due to an ear injury, and he may have to go under the knife.

#2. Chris Jericho's major announcement amidst AEW uncertainty

For quite some time now, Chris Jericho has been a subject of widespread speculation after reports suggested that the inaugural AEW World Champion could part ways with the company at the end of the year after his contract expires, with fans expecting him to subsequently return to his old stomping ground in WWE.

The fact that The Learning Tree has been missing from All Elite Wrestling television since this past April has only lent more credibility to the conjecture. Amid his ongoing hiatus, Jericho took to Instagram sometime earlier to announce that he was finally going to join Cameo, a media platform where users can interact with and request personalized video messages from celebrities and influencers.

Y2J revealed that he would be available on the app for the holiday season, stating:

It remains to be seen whether Jericho will continue his stint in All Elite Wrestling or if he will make his WWE comeback, perhaps at the 2026 Royal Rumble.

#3. A Death Rider became world champion outside AEW

The Death Riders suffered a huge setback earlier this month on Dynamite: Blood and Guts, losing the titular bout to the team of Darby Allin, Roderick Strong, and the Conglomeration after Jon Moxley tapped out to Kyle O'Reilly.

Although The Violent Artist handed another submission loss to The One True King last Saturday at Full Gear, he ended up getting hurt by Moxley. Hence, he will be missing out on the 2025 Continental Classic.

Moxley is not the only Death Rider participating in the C2, as his allies, Pac and Claudio Castagnoli, have also entered the tournament, both starting their campaigns successfully with wins over Mike Bailey and Orange Cassidy, respectively.

The Swiss Cyborg recently added another feather to his cap this past Friday at Arena Mexico, where he defeated Gran Guerrero to become the new CMLL World Heavyweight Champion, ending the latter's thousand-plus-day reign.

Castagnoli will take on Moxley himself next week on AEW Dynamite in a much-anticipated Continental Classic Blue League match. It remains to be seen if The King of Swing will turn on the original Death Rider after the bout, especially if he emerges victorious.

#4. Ricochet to defend his AEW title in ROH

Ricochet made history last Saturday at Full Gear 2025, where he participated in a Casino Gauntlet Match meant to crown the first-ever All Elite Wrestling National Champion, a new title that had been unveiled some time ahead of the pay-per-view. The belt was designed to be defended in companies outside of AEW, including partner promotions such as NJPW, CMLL, and more.

Now, The Future of Flight has been scheduled to put his National Championship on the line in another Tony Khan-owned wrestling promotion, Ring of Honor, marking the very first time an AEW title will be defended on the brand.

Ricochet will be defending the gold this coming month at ROH Final Battle 2025, set to air from the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.
