Fans are still buzzing from the shocking conclusion of AEW Full Gear 2025 this past Saturday. The pay-per-view featured several action-packed matches and multiple titles changing hands, including Samoa Joe dethroning "Hangman" Adam Page for the Men's World Championship in one of the night's biggest upsets. The show took another surprising turn as Swerve Strickland returned to stand side by side with his former arch-nemesis after the main event.

Now, AEW will return to television this week with Wednesday Night Dynamite. Besides a Women's World Tag Team Title Tournament semifinal match between The Sisters of Sin and The Babes of Wrath, not much has been announced for the show except that it will launch this year's Continental Classic. To keep the momentum from Full Gear going, Tony Khan should try to ensure his booking makes the episode unmissable. One timeless way to do that is by booking more surprise returns.

On that note, let us consider four names Tony Khan could bring back this week on AEW Dynamite.

10 Shocking Injuries That Destroyed WWE Stars - Watch Here!

#4. Former NWA World Women's Champion Kamille

Kamille made her official debut in All Elite Wrestling last year on Dynamite: Blood and Guts, attacking Britt Baker and revealing herself as Mercedes Mone's hired muscle. Despite her imposing on-screen presence, The Brickhouse's working relationship with The CEO did not last long, as the latter began to show a growing tendency towards disrespect, especially after the former NWA World Women's Champion failed to stop Kris Statlander during her feud with Mercedes.

In the wake of Full Gear 2024, Kamille finally stood up for herself, quitting on and parting ways with Mone. Some time afterwards, the powerhouse was found laid out backstage by a mystery assailant, which many assumed to have been Mercedes. The North Carolina native has been missing from AEW programming since then, and rumors have been circulating about her status in the company after her storyline with the erstwhile Sasha Banks was seemingly scrapped.

When asked about her earlier this year, Tony Khan hinted at Kamille's potential comeback at some point in the future. In the aftermath of this year's Full Gear, where "13 Belts" Mone failed to win the AEW Women's World Title from Kris Statlander, TK could finally decide to properly trigger a feud between The Boss and her former henchwoman. This could take the form of Kamille returning to Dynamite this week to ambush Mercedes, confirming the latter as her attacker from last year.

With her confidence shaken after her loss to Stat, "Ultimo" Mone might get blindsided by the vengeful Kamille, who could set her sights on capturing the TBS Championship and kick-start Mercedes' great downfall.

#3. Former AEW World Champion MJF

Despite losing the backing of The Hurt Syndicate earlier this year, Maxwell Jacob Friedman kept his focus on recapturing the Men's World Championship, which Adam Page had won at All In: Texas. He faced The Cowboy for his belt at Forbidden Door 2025, and despite stacking every possible advantage in his favor, he failed to beat Page at the event, thanks in no small part to the intervention of Mark Briscoe.

Friedman, who had been feuding with The Sussex County Chicken for some time by that point, cost the latter a shot at the TNT Title in retaliation and challenged him to a match with any stipulation of his choosing. The Wolf of Wrestling battled Briscoe in a vicious "Tables N' Thumbtacks" match (a bout devised by Mark) at All Out: Toronto, where he fell short against The Conglomeration member.

After his match against Briscoe, Friedman revealed he would be going away until he became more recognizable to himself and promised to return as his most dangerous iteration. The Salt of the Earth had been filming Violent Night 2 during his hiatus, but recent reports indicate that the star may have completed his obligations and could return to AEW soon.

During his absence, this past Saturday at Full Gear, Samoa Joe regained the AEW World Championship from Adam Page, and was afterwards confronted by the returning Swerve Strickland. The Hangman and The Moghul are both likely going to confront The Destroyer this Wednesday on Dynamite to stake their claim on his belt. MJF could make his own return on the show and insert himself in the World Title picture.

Such an angle could serve as the foundation for a four-way match for the Men's World Championship at AEW Worlds End 2025, the same pay-per-view at which Friedman lost the title to Joe back in 2023.

#2. & #1. Former TNT Champions, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage

Last Saturday at Full Gear 2025, Brody King and Bandido defended their AEW World Tag Team Championship against FTR. Despite the massive audience support for Brodido, The Living Legend Killers were ultimately successful at securing the tag belts for the third time at the PPV.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler will no doubt appear this week on AEW Dynamite, and they will very likely be confronted by potential challengers like Jurassic Express, JetSpeed, and the now babyface Young Bucks. However, perhaps no other tag team will be as motivated to take FTR down as the legendary duo of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, who not only hold a victory over The Top Guys but also have unfinished business with them.

It was at All Out: Toronto that The Rated-R Superstar and The Patriarch beat Dax and Cash, thanks to Beth Copeland neutralizing Stokely Hathaway's outside interference. However, after the bout, FTR restrained Cope and attacked The Glamazon, hitting her with a Spike Piledriver. Subsequently, Copeland told Christian that he needed to go away to take care of his family, and the duo have not been featured on All Elite programming since.

Cope and Cage could therefore target FTR this week on AEW Dynamite, and make a statement by taking out the latter and laying out a challenge for a tag title match, perhaps for Worlds End 2025.
