We are less than 48 hours away from this year's edition of AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming, and it looks like Tony Khan has left no stone unturned to ensure that the show is a success come Wednesday. The flagship show features a packed lineup, which includes AEW World Champion Samoa Joe defending his title against Eddie Kingston. Meanwhile, the promotion's new Women's Tag Team Champions will also be decided as Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) face the Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) in what promises to be an exciting clash. Moreover, the first-ever pairing of two of All Elite Wrestling's biggest babyfaces will be on display as "Hangman" Adam Page and Swerve Strickland join forces to take on Opps members Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Hibata.Setting that aside, the Continental Classic tournament is also expected to continue at Dynamite: Winter is Coming, and with so much happening, Tony Khan might surprise everyone to make the show even more memorable. That said, let's look at three possible surprises that AEW could pull off this Wednesday.#3. Tony Khan surprises fans with a major returnAEW is home to some of the best talent in the world, and while most of its roster is active, available, and already involved in major storylines, the promotion is still waiting for some of its biggest stars to return, as they are currently sidelined due to injury or commitments outside professional wrestling. A few examples of the latter include Adam Copeland and MJF.Currently, Cope is away filming Beekeeper 2 and was most recently spotted in London. However, the Rated-R Superstar has been gone for a while and is likely free from his commitments and ready to return to the Jacksonville-based promotion. The former TNT Champion could make his return alongside Christian Cage and confront AEW Tag Team Champions FTR, with whom the legendary duo has been in a feud since reuniting a few months ago.Meanwhile, MJF has also been away from the promotion due to filming commitments for his movie Violent Night 2. However, it was recently reported that AEW has factored the Salt of the Earth into their plans for December. Friedman could make his earth-shattering return at Winter is Coming, potentially going after either TNT Champion Mark Briscoe or Hangman Page.#2. Babes of Wrath win the AEW Women's Tag Team ChampionshipConsidering their individual stature and positioning, it is not far-fetched to think that Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, aka the Babes of Wrath, might enter the women's tag team tournament finals as underdogs against Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa (Timeless Love Bombs). That said, the duo has done well to reach the final stage of the tournament, and Tony Khan might surprise fans by having them win the championship. In the second semifinals of the tournament, the Timeless Love Bombs had defeated Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne to reach the final. Soon after, Toni Storm hurled brutal jabs at Shafir and her Death Riders teammate and leader, Jon Moxley. The Death Riders might not react well to this and could interfere in the match, costing Storm and Shirakawa the titles, and, in the process, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale could become the inaugural champions.#1. Hangman Page accidentally takes out Swerve Strickland; Opps winAlthough it doesn't carry high stakes, the tag team match pitting Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland against Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsyouri Shibata of the Opps is one of the most anticipated bouts on the Dynamite: Winter is Coming card. The anticipation naturally comes from the Mogul and the Cowboy's pairing, especially given their past, which was marked by mutual disdain. However, the two seem to have buried the hatchet to focus on a common enemy, The Opps. While fans will expect the Realest and Page to win, Tony Khan might throw a curveball by having The Opps win through an unexpected incident. Near the end of the match, Hangman could be in a position to land his Buckshot Lariat on either Hobbs or Shibata. However, the targeted Opps member might duck or be pulled away, causing Page to accidentally hit his move on his partner, Strickland. The Opps could then capitalize on the confusion and secure a major victory.
