In 2023, Bryan Danielson said that he would hang up his boots in 2024. However, his time in the ring extended a bit further after he won the AEW World Title at All In 2024. He held the title for a few months before losing it to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024. Since then, he has not competed in a televised match, leaving fans to speculate about his in-ring future. Bryan sparked rumors again when he showed up at All In: Texas and took out the Death Riders. Since then, he has settled into his role as commentator for Dynamite. While the American Dragon has hinted that his in-ring career is over, he has never officially announced his retirement. This has become a debate among the wrestling community regarding whether the former World Champion will step inside the squared circle again. If he does decide to compete again, here are three stars who could fully retire him in AEW.#3. Nick WayneSince joining AEW, Nick Wayne has shown a lot of progress as a heel. Being under the wing of Christian Cage has benefitted the young star, and it has shown in his character development. As a singles star, Wayne has competed in some big matches over the past few years. However, he has yet to compete against and defeat an opponent who can help establish himself as a top star. This is where Bryan Danielson could come into play. Tony Khan could book a feud between Danielson and Nick Wayne, which could culminate in the American Dragon's final match. The wrestling styles of these two men will make for an entertaining contest. Nick should win this match in order to establish himself as a major star.#2. Jay WhiteOn his best day, Jay White can be one of the best heels in the entire industry. Few people are able to get heat on themselves like Jay can. However, his run in AEW has been far from spectacular. Currently, Jay is out of action with an injury. However, when he returns, Jay White should tap into what made him a massive star in New Japan Pro Wrestling and bring that to Jacksonville. White would be the perfect heel opponent for Bryan Danielson. Therefore, Tony Khan should book this match as Danielson's retirement bout. This could also be a dream match among fans since these two men have never competed in a singles match.#1. Kyle Fletcher could retire Bryan DanielsonKyler Fletcher has all the makings to be the biggest star in AEW. His feud with Will Ospreay is a testament to this. Not only did Fletcher take Ospreay to his limits, but he was able to defeat the Aerial Assassin. While he has a win over Ospreay, Fletcher needs another major win to take his career to the next level. The perfect person to elevate him is Bryan Danielson. Fletcher has recently claimed to have retired Dustin Rhodes, although the latter is recovering from an injury and has not retired. Tony Khan should use this storyline to be the basis of Fletcher and Bryan's feud. The TNT Champion could challenge Danielson to put his career on the line in a match and then defeat him.It remains to be seen if Bryan Danielson will ever return to action.
